Idris Elba launches anti-knife crime clothing collection
Hollywood actor Idris Elba has launched a new clothing collection to support the fight against knife crime.
The Hackney-born actor’s Don’t Stab Your Future (#DSYF) collection is the third clothing collection from his fashion label 2HR Set. DSYF aims to amplify anti-knife crime messages and promote positive thinking among young people.
A portion of the proceeds will go to several charities that raise awareness about knife crime.
“We need to continue to amplify the message and keep people away from knife crime. Don’t Stab Your Future is a statement I used when I thought about knife crime and was upset about a youngster who had just lost his life and future, ”Elba said.
“I want to support organizations and help people move away from violence,” he added.
The collection includes t-shirts and hoodies, embroidered with key messages about self-love and positive thinking.
Some of the posts include, Love Yourself, DSYF, and All Equal Under The Sun.
The messages aim to inspire better choices, respect between people and a better future.
The award-winning actor launched clothing brand 2HR Set in the UK in 2018. The line is influenced by Elba’s career as a DJ.
