Plainview Downtown is presenting the “Backyard ‘Bonfire’ Party” event on Saturday December 2nd in the downtown historic district of Plainview on Saturday December 11th.
The Commercial Sponsor for Saturday, December 2 is The Rusty Rose, located at 707 Broadway.
The weekend festivities will begin at 11 am with a ‘Bonfire’ party in the courtyard – a popcorn bar, s’mores, hot chocolate and more will be provided by The Rusty Rose and other businesses. participants. In addition, heat lamps will be placed to give shoppers the atmosphere of a bonfire to enjoy the delicious treats.
Additionally, the WesTex Federal Credit Union will be at Millennium Park (8th & Broadway) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with Santa and the ponies. Santa Claus, as well as miniature ponies will be available for children and adults to view and photograph. Photos with Santa and ponies cost $ 5 and all proceeds go to Minis & Friends South Plains.
The Burnin ‘Tree Food Truck will also be downtown from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (or when full) to provide shoppers with more dining options.
Buyers are encouraged to visit all businesses in downtown Plainview and view the Lighted Window Contest entries. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Hale County Courthouse and the winners of the downtown lighted window competition will be announced.
