Restaurants to take your mom to in Burlington for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a time to thank mothers for all they do.
After all, the clothes are washed, dinner is on the table each night, and they sit in the stands in the rain watching their kids play sports.
Local restaurants are bracing for the inevitable influx of families looking to honor their mothers by giving them some much-needed rest from cooking and washing up.
Here is a sample of the restaurants open on Mother’s Day. Some will serve a traditional brunch or a special menu. Others will offer their usual excellent dishes.
Customers may want to move quickly, as some restaurants require reservations and seats fill up quickly.
Gator’s Grill & Spirits

- Union Block, 111 W. Monroe St., Mount Pleasant, will host a special brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. - The West Point Fireworks Committee will be hosting a free Mother’s Day Donation Breakfast from 7-10 a.m. on Sunday, May 8 at the West Point American Legion, 309 Fifth St., serving eggs, French toast, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, links of sausages, coffee, milk, orange juice, as well as mimosas for moms. Organizers are hoping for good turnout, as the cost of fireworks is up 20% from 2021.
